I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1970. My parents were both Marine Veterans. They split up while I was still in diapers. Around that time, my mother started going to church and gave her life to Jesus. That was the blessed life I grew up in.
When I was 7, we moved to Kentucky. My mom found the Queen Street Assembly of God and made it our home. It was so far to the church from our home that we often spent all day between services at the pastor’s house.
A year later, I was given the call to the Prophetic. My mom and the Pastor’s wife would go off to another room and pray. During one of those prayer sessions, Sister Halsey (the pastor’s wife) called me into the room and placed a “charge of ministry” on me. But I wasn’t in any hurry to be a minister. I ran from God and His call on my life. From that moment at 8 until I was 24. Which included a serious drug addiction.
I met my wife, Diana and we were married in 1988. She was raised in church as a pastor’s kid. But her father and mother divorced when she was in her pre-teens. She met me and we discovered we had something in common: we were both running from God.
One night, we found ourselves taking our second child to the hospital with a life threatening issue one night. We stopped at my mother’s house to have her pray. She told me to go by a church on the way to have prayer. This particular church was attended by my brother.
When we walked in, the entire service came to a stop. The man in front said they had been waiting for us. He had heard the Holy Spirit tell him we were coming. He took my son, Bobby, and prayer for him. He was immediately healed. Needless to say, we began going to that church. It was through their ministry that I was eventually ordained.
Some years later, this church went through some difficult circumstances and my wife and I decided to leave. We were heartbroken.
We began attending Church of the Harvest where I became the Associate Pastor. This is where I began my ministry as a Prophet and connected with Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association (ABEA). Which is the organization that currently holds my credentials. I am also the standing ABEA Rep for Kentucky.
Eventually, we began our own church called “The Gathering”. Then after a few years in various places of ministry, I felt the Lord lead us to become associated with River of Life Ministry, Assembly of God in Paris, Kentucky. Our Senior Pastors are Krista and Keith Hampton. They have recognized the mantle of Prophet on me and allow us to minister in a variety of other places and churches. Of which one of the more prominent ones is Faith Community Church in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. Which is pastored by my wife’s aunt and uncle, Bill and Sabrina Sands.
In addition to preaching and teaching the Word of God, our ministry consists of bringing truth from the Holy Spirit through prophetic utterances and downloads. God has directed me several times to give a Word concerning the actions and needs of the “Watchman”. This is where our ministry name comes from.
